Teams, the pot and team freerolls

How a team works: who belongs to it, what the shared pot is for, how it can be used (sponsorships and team freerolls) and the rules that stop it from being used against other players or the house.

1. What a team is

A team is a leader plus the people who signed up with their referral code or link. It's one level deep: someone who joins with a member's code ends up on that member's leader's team. If you signed up without a code, you are the leader of your own team. Everything about the team is under "My team".

2. Changing teams

From "My team" you can move to another team with the code of any of its members. A member leaves alone, and whatever they put in the pot stays with the team they leave. A leader who changes teams takes all their members along and their pot is merged into the new team's. Whoever changes teams must wait 30 days before doing it again (members the leader takes along are not held to that wait).

3. The team pot

Any member can put FICHAS from their balance into the pot, with no cap. A contribution is never returned or claimable: from then on the pot belongs to the team, not to whoever contributed, and only the leader decides how to use it. Every member sees the pot balance and each movement (contributions, sponsorships, freerolls, refunds and distributions) under "My team". The pot can only leave in three ways: sponsoring a tournament, hosting a team freeroll, or being distributed if the leader stops logging in. It is never transferred straight into anyone's account.

4. Donating to a teammate

Apart from the pot, you can donate FICHAS from your own balance to another member of your team, up to a monthly limit that depends on your plan: the Free plan can't donate, Gold can donate up to 10 FICHAS per month and Premium up to 500 FICHAS per month. Donations can't be reversed.

5. Sponsoring a tournament

The leader can add chips from the pot to the prize of a tournament with a buy-in that is still open for registration, at no extra cost to the players. The tournament needs at least 4 entrants from distinct devices and at least one team member entered, and the amount can't exceed what entries have already raised (buy-in × entrants). Cash tables can't be sponsored: in a single hand it's too easy to fix who wins. If the tournament is cancelled, the sponsorship goes back to the pot.

6. Hosting a team freeroll

The leader can use the pot to host a freeroll: a tournament with no buy-in, open to every player on the site, whose whole prize comes out of the pot. It's created from "My team" with the "Host freeroll" button, choosing the prize (up to the pot balance), the tournament structure and the start time. The prize is taken from the pot right then, the tournament shows up in the tournaments lobby marked "Team freeroll" and "Hosted by <leader's nickname>'s team", it's highlighted under "My team" for every member, and each of them gets an email about it. The prize is split among the top finishers with the same payout table as any other tournament. Each team can have only one open freeroll at a time.

7. What keeps a team freeroll fair

Entry costs nothing, so nobody risks chips to play it, and it's open to the whole site, not just the team. It's announced at least 60 minutes ahead and starts on its own at the announced time: the leader can't start it early so that only their own people play. Only one entry per device is allowed. It's only played if at that time there are at least 4 entrants from distinct devices; otherwise it's cancelled and the whole prize goes back to the pot. Once someone else has entered, the leader can no longer cancel it; only an admin can, and then the prize also goes back to the pot. Players agreeing to favour one of them (collusion) or entering with several accounts may lead to prizes being withheld.

8. Chips that come from a team

Whatever you receive from a team — a donation, a pot distribution or a prize won in a team freeroll — you can play right away, but to withdraw it you first need to play 10 valid hands (the same as for the welcome bonus: public cash tables, that saw the flop and paid rake, against another player on a different device who isn't an account linked to yours on your same network, with no single opponent providing more than 30 % of those hands). Until then you can only withdraw what matches your own deposits. The rule also applies to someone outside the team who wins one of its freerolls: that way the pot can't be used to hand chips to another account and withdraw them without playing.

9. If the leader stops logging in

If the leader goes 3 months without logging in, the pot is automatically distributed among the team's current members, the leader included, in proportion to what each one contributed. What came back to the pot from a cancelled tournament doesn't count as anyone's contribution. If none of the current members contributed, it's split evenly.
